The Slight Edge compels you to carry on consistently. The book reinforces the power of repeated actions done consistently over a considerable amount of time. Size & Clearances around the Kitchen Island

The major thing to decide is the size of the island you are looking for in your kitchen. This is primarily governed by the size of your kitchen. As a rule keep a minimum clearance of 24 inches (60 cms) around the movable island for working and movement.  For fixed islands consider having 36 inches (75 cms) all around.
